Missions

Local

Envisage Pregnancy Centre

Envisage, once named the Pregnancy Resource Centre, provides support to anyone facing unplanned pregnancy or pregnancy related difficulties. Envisage is a non-profit, charitable organization. We helped them to finally achieve ownership of their location on Sophia Street and we continue to support them each year.

Hope Barrie

“We collect necessities for their ministry such as baking supplies, warm blankets and so on.”

Assisting the Marginalized

“We collect clothing and hygiene supplies for a residential federal correctional centre in Toronto, assisting the Chaplain there as he brings the light of Christ to marginalized ex-prisoners.”

Less Fortunate in Barrie

“We are committed to feeding the homeless in Barrie and joined forces with Rosie and others to provide both food and manpower 3 times per year – Easter, thanksgiving and Christmas – to lay out a spread in our downtown area for those less fortunate. We have also been longtime supporters of the Busby Street Center.”

Other Local Charities

Celebration Church continues to faithfully support The Barrie Food Bank and the Christian radio station, Life 100 FM, as well as other local needs that arise. Recently, due to covid, we have responded to the financial needs of The Women and Children’s Crisis Center, as well as The Salvation Army.

Global

Cuba Partnership
San Marcos, Moa, Cuba

For several years our congregation has assisted with the salaries of the clergy in the churches of this area and the farm workers at the farm project. The profits raised on the farm assist the church financially and will contribute towards the staffing salaries and self-sustainment in years to come. Celebration members have visited these churches, delivering medicine, Spanish bibles, prayer shawls, and water filtration kits, and attended meetings and worship services.

Panama
Guna Yala Mission

Howard and Mariela Walker
We have supported this mission with funds and supplies for many years and recently funded a playground for the children on one of the islands. Members from Celebration faithfully continue to send money to help the Walkers in their ministry among the Guna, the second largest of Panama’s seven indigenous groups.

Arms of Jesus
Children’s Mission

We continue to support Arms of Jesus as it provides full support to so many needy children and their families in the poorest area of Haiti and Guatemala -schooling, medical assistance, food, supplies, home building, sponsorships, social work, Christian education and so forth.

Anglican Relief and Development Fund Canada (ARDFC)

The ARDFC is a registered Canadian charity which undertakes carefully selected and monitored aid projects in partnership with dioceses in developing nations. The fund is currently working on a project in Paraguay and a member of Celebration Church is the National Director.

Compassion Canada

Our Sunday School sponsors a child in Haiti through Compassion Canada
